# [multi-artist comp] I paid $4.95 for my copy at Amoeba in LA (still has the price sticker on it), after Christgau's 1990's book came out and placed it as the 11th best album of 1998 (!) and graded it a full A. In those days, if you wanted to hear all of these songs together and check out the gestalt, you had to have the disc (or all of the underlying albums, which with a comp like this was very unlikely). After all these years, I'm closer to Tom Hull, who put it at 7 (B+). [De-shelved] [At least 6 listens]
