Wayne Kramer - Citizen Wayne: 7.5 (high B+)

I bought this when it came out and played it over and over because I had only recently gotten into Christgau, and I didn’t like it much and was trying to hear what he heard in it. I waffled and eventually sold it off, although I remember loving the track “No Easy Way Out.” Playing it now, I do remember all the tracks, which is a really great sign, and impelled me to give it a 7.5 (high B+). So now I feel compelled to pick it up for a second time, almost 25+ years later. I’m really impressed by the music that it’s stuck with me all these years. And there is a reissue version with a video on it, which gives me an excuse to buy it again.
