Various - Post-War Jazz: An Arbitrary Road Map (Gary Giddins playlist): X (X)

Four plays. I'm not sure what to say about it. I learned alot.

Angry Samoans - The Unboxed Set: 8.5 (high A-)

Everything they ever recorded, except for that 1998 release.

Angry Samoans - 31 Garbage Pit Hits [placeholder]

All tracks and more are on The Unboxed Set.

Angry Samoans - Angry Samoans [aka The 90's Suck and So Do You]: liked

Posting the cover to avoid confusion. Christgau has this as an eponymous release. Released in 1998 on Triple X. Bought this to be completist, especially because it's on Triple X.

Angry Samoans - Yesterday Started Tomorrow [EP] : 7.5 (high B+)

Angry Samoans - STP not LSD: 8 (A-)

Angry Samoans - Back from Samoa: 9 (A)

Angry Samoans - Inside My Brain: 9 (A)

I have the reissue, with 11 tracks.

The Kinks - Muswell Hillbillies: 8.5 (high A-)

The Kinks - Arthur (or the Decline and Fall of the British Empire): 8 (A-)

The Kinks - Greatest Hits: 8 (A-)

Be Your Own Pet - Get Awkward: 7 (B+)

The Kinks - The Kink Kronikles: 9 (A)

Rodan - How the Winter Was Passed [EP] [honorable mention]

:-) [Listed as an EP, but really just a single, with “Milk & Melancholy” b/w “Exoskeleton.” Both tracks appear on compilation Fifteen Quiet Years, which I will evaluate separately.]

Funkadelic - Live: Meadowbrook, Rochester, Michigan: 12th September 1971: 7.5 (high B+)

#live

The Byrds - Younger Than Yesterday: 7.5 (high B+)

# [folk rock]

Shellac - At Action Park: liked

Might be a 7 (B+) but unavailable for anything approaching a reasonable price anyway.

Mclusky Do Dallas - Mclusky Do Dallas [honorable mention]

:-)

Jeb Loy Nichols - The October EP [honorable mention]

:-)

The Byrds - Fifth Dimension: 7 (B+)

# [folk rock[ As with all the first 4 Byrds albums, I'd get them, except the remastered CDs are cluttered up with useless bonus tracks. I seriously considered getting the Original Album Classics box, since it sells for ~$20, but even those are bonused up.

Taj Mahal - Maestro: 7.5 (high B+)

#blues

The Embarrassment - Heyday 1979-83: 9.5 (high A)

Contains the Death Travels West and The Embarrassment EPs, among other things.

Dag Nasty - Field Day: 8.5 (high A-)

One of my favorite Dischord-related releases. A great album. Not sure why I have not explored the rest of their catalog over the decades, but I'm going to rectify that soon.

The dB's - Like This: 7.5 (high B+)

Reissued on CD but apparently never remastered. Which is just as well, because I'm not a huge fan but might be compelled to shell out anyway.
