Mother Love Bone - Apple: liked
I considered getting this anyway, because of its importance to grunge, but it's strangely expensive. Used copies should be going for single digits, in my mind. Maybe I'll keep an eye out for a copy that's priced right. Update: I realized I was being stupid and that this, together with the Shine EP, are on that ubiquitous Mother Love Bone (ie, self-titled) compilation, which was selling for a really fair price, so I got a copy of that. I'm am evaluating the EP separately and will address it in a post for the compilation.
Big Youth - Some Great Big Youth: notation
I didn't listen to this in its proper form. It has five tracks from Rock Holy, two from Progress, and three others. See my individual posts re: the two former albums. The other three tracks -- "World War III," "Roots Foundation," and "Get On Up" -- are fine.
New York Dolls - New York Dolls: 10 (A+)
I'm a little bit of fanatic with the Dolls. I have this on original press vinyl and CD.
Big Youth - Screaming Target: 9.5 (high A)
Listened to the second disc of bonus re-issue (probably twice) and did not think it was worth shelving. Of academic interest only.
Wayne Shorter - Speak No Evil: X (X)
Constantly being cited as one of the greatest jazz albums of all time. So of course I have a copy.
