Before 11/2020, grades range from 5 to 3.5 stars. After that, grade range is: 10 (A+), 9.5 (high A), 9 (A), 8.5 (high A-), 8 (A-), 7.5 (high B+), and 7 (B+). Ungraded albums are liked (fka honorable mention) :-), neutral :-|, and negative :-(. At least 4 listens per graded album and 3 listens per ungraded album. Search "Grade Post" for more info. I shelved/sold ~10,000 albums after at least 4 or 3 listens, respectively, before starting this blog and will add entries for those as they come up.

Digital Underground - The Body-Hat Syndrome: 3.5 stars
I owned this when it came out and couldn't understand Xgau's high A minus. I eventually sold it back. Listening to it now, 27 years later, I notice a couple things: I probably should have realized it's at least approaching a 7 (B+) and kept it. But also, I don't remember a single track, which says something. Anyway, now it's way too expensive, and given that I owned it before, I won't be paying high prices for used. They are still selling it for download on Bandcamp, which means it's effectively digital-only. Add that all up, with the fact that it might actually be a "liked" instead of a 7 (B+), and I'm not rebuying it.
